Farley’s House & Gallery (3 miles)
The Farley’s Yard Trust takes its inspiration from the lives and works of Roland Penrose and Lee Miller. They lived at Farley Farm in East Sussex which came to be known as ‘The Home of The Surrealists in England’ and holds a a dazzling collection of artistic treasures. Farley’s became a meeting place for many of the most influential artists of the 20th century including Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Max Ernst, Man Ray, Paul Éluard and Henry Moore.

Drusillas Park (8.4 miles)
Widely recognised as the best small zoo in the UK (many would say Europe!) Drusillas has earned that reputation by creating an animal and child friendly environment. Encompassing a wonderful selection of wild animals in stunning habitats, a childrens adventure playground, a Thomas the Tank Engine Railway and family restaurants, there’s more than enough to keep couples and families entertained.

Bluebell Railway (17miles)
Preserved steam railway. This is a superb attraction recreating the golden age of steam with many organised special events throughout the year. The railway is managed and run largely by volunteers. It has the largest collection of steam locomotives after the National Railway Museum, and a collection of carriages and wagons unrivalled in the South of England. You can relax with afternoon tea on the 1.5 hour return trip from Sheffield Park through the Sussex countryside.
